Resilienceapac – BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025 sets a transformative agenda that prioritizes green economic growth and inclusive development across the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area. At its core, the vision aims to elevate underdeveloped and remote areas in the subregion through strategic investment in sustainable industries such as green manufacturing, climate-smart agriculture, and responsible fisheries.
This roadmap marks a shift from traditional, extractive economic models to forward-looking, environmentally conscious frameworks. By aligning local development goals with global sustainability standards, BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025 not only responds to the urgent call for climate resilience but also empowers marginalized communities to become active economic contributors.
Under BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025, the spotlight is on establishing green industrial zones, encouraging renewable energy use in manufacturing processes, and promoting sustainable supply chains. Local governments and private sectors are collaborating to implement eco-certification standards, improve energy efficiency, and attract green investments.

Agriculture and fisheries long-standing economic pillars in the region are also undergoing transformation. The vision encourages the use of modern, eco-friendly practices such as precision farming, organic production, and sustainable aquaculture. These innovations aim to boost productivity while preserving the region’s rich biodiversity and natural resources.
The regional approach recognizes that environmental protection and economic progress are not mutually exclusive. In fact, sustainability is increasingly viewed as a competitive advantage for the region on the global stage.
BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025 also highlights the importance of developing multi-country tourism circuits that celebrate shared heritage, cultural diversity, and natural landscapes. This integrated approach to tourism not only increases visitor appeal. It also spreads economic benefits across national borders, especially to rural and remote communities.
Stakeholders are enhancing destinations such as eco-parks, marine sanctuaries, and indigenous cultural sites by improving infrastructure and implementing community-based tourism models. They are also rolling out training programs to empower local entrepreneurs and ensure that tourism growth stays inclusive and sustainable.
By building bridges both literal and symbolic BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025 positions tourism as a powerful tool for peace, collaboration, and prosperity in Southeast Asia.
BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025 stands as a clear statement of intent: to drive green growth. The initiative fosters regional inclusion and ensures that no community is left behind. As implementation progresses, it aims to set a benchmark for how cross-border cooperation can deliver tangible results. Sustainable outcomes for generations to come.
